What is GeoTREE?
GeoTREE stands for "GeoInformatics Training, Research, Education, and Extension"
Center.
The primary goal of this center is to transfer geospatial technologies to the individuals
from federal, state, local, and tribal government (FSLT) agencies through education,
multi-disciplinary research, and outreach activities.
GeoTREE is an interdisciplinary center and is unique in transferring geospatial
technologies to FSLT agencies by bringing NASA and other scientists, academic members,
and members from FSLT agencies together to integrate remote sensing data into GIS
in order to improve decision-making through Decision Support Systems (DSS).
