Eastern Iowa GIS Day 2008

Eastern Iowa has experienced two big natural disasters this year- Tornado and Flood. In order to assist local and state government agencies, this year’s theme named as "Geospatial technologies for natural disaster management." The conference will take place October 6-7, 2008 at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, University of Northern Iowa and will feature workshop, keynote presentations, educational sessions, an exhibition, and networking opportunities.

The objectives of the conference include:

To provide GIS-related workshop and sessions
To inform broad cross-section of Iowa users about latest GIS technology and applications
To share GIS data availability
To foster a Iowa GIS network
