Conference Venue

GIS Day 2008 will take place at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.

Finding It

The Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center is located along University Avenue on the University of Northern Iowa campus in Cedar Falls. The easiest way to travel to UNI is via:

Interstate 380 or US 63 from the south
US 63 or 218 from the north
US 20 or Iowa 57 from the west
US 20 from the east.

Parking

The UNI campus is conveniently situated in the southwest part of Cedar Falls at the junction of University Avenue and Hudson Road. When you arrive at UNI, the GBPAC is adjacent to the main entrance to campus, just off University Avenue.

Handicapped parking is available on the north side of the building, and a drive-way in front of the building may be used for dropping off/picking up GBPAC guests. There are several parking lots near the GBPAC. For those guests parking across University Avenue, there is a tunnel under University Avenue to allow you to cross safely.

Workshop Venue

The day before the conference, a workshop will be hosted in ITTC 234. Up to 25 people may attend the workshop. If you would like to attend, please register as soon as possible, as only the first 25 will be allowed in.
